Monitoring
Starting in the early hours this morning, Versature technicians started seeing calls connecting in the 204 area code again.

However, the upstream carrier has not yet confirmed all systems have been restored. This issue will be set to "Monitoring" until confirmation is received.

The upstream carrier has confirmed they believe the remaining issues will be corrected overnight, Versature technicians will update this status once they have received confirmation or see calls connecting.

No further updates are expected until Saturday morning.

The upstream carrier has confirmed that power has been restored post-fire but some equipment did not recover successfully. Carrier technicians have been dispatched however no ETA has been provided at this time.

Versature technicians are continuing to see issues calling some 204 area code (Manitoba) phone numbers however no update has been provided from the upstream carrier at this point.

Versature technicians continue to monitor the Winnipeg electrical fire situation and further information will be posted as it becomes available.

The upstream carrier has provided an update as follow, work continues on resolution of the Manitoba inbound call outage:

As a result of a fire inside the York substation, located in downtown Winnipeg, Hydro personnel entered the building and identified significant damage that requires underground, construction and distribution personnel to assemble and to make repairs.

The current ETR is 16:00 CDT

The upstream carrier has confirmed that there was a fire at a Hydro station which has caused this outage affecting many connections.

Investigating
Versature Technicians are investigating reports of Incoming Call Connectivity errors to some Manitoba (204 area code) numbers.

If you are receiving error messages when your local Manitoba number is dialed this is the cause. Outbound and Tollfree calls in that area as well as all other services are not affected.
